The Dove Self-Esteem Project (DSEP) mission is to empower the next generation through body confidence education, so they can reach their full potential.
DSEP's goal is to empower over 250 million young people around the world by 2030, through the use of their body confidence and self esteem themed educational tools .
It is a carefully selected group of young individuals coming from around the globe, who have a passion for topics around body image, youth mental health and share a desire for positive impact through advocacy and education. The Youth Board is all about speaking with those people who are at the frontline of body image challenges, sharing and co-creating solutions to the cross-cultural issues that Dove want to address. Dove works with the Youth Board to discuss strategy, new intervention and general insights.
Clementine Prendergast, who has been working with DSEP for the past three years. In 2019 she developed a global strategic framework for DSEP advocacy, as well as assisting in the partnership with Women Deliver - overseeing the development of the digital university and architecting the Youth Board. In 2020 she managed the Dove Youth Board pilot with fifteen Young Leaders around the world. In 2021 she successfully led the board of twenty-three members. In 2022, efforts were scaled down and with a renewed focused on community building supported bottom up advocacy initiatives. In 2023, global insights and frontline learnings were prioritised, optimising Youth Board efforts.
